QualityPro Announces “Green” Certification Program

(Fairfax, VA) – January 22, 2008 – The National Pest Management Association’s QualityPro program has announced the creation of a new designation - QualityPro Green. This new designation will be offered at no additional cost to all approved QualityPro members that meet the green services standards. QualityPro Green will be unveiled at NPMA’s Legislative Day 2008 in conjunction with the Green Council meeting on March 3, at the Mayflower Hotel, in Washington, D.C.

This additional certification to QualityPro will help educate companies the value of providing their consumers with green services while giving them a competitive edge in the marketplace. According to Rob Lederer, Executive Vice President of NPMA, “As consumers are rapidly becoming more aware of ways they can benefit the environment, green certification programs are growing in all industries. Now customers of pest management services can hire a professional that not only meets the rigorous standards of QualityPro, but takes it one step forward by offering green services.

With the launch of QualityPro Green, NPMA has created a program that is open and attainable to QualityPro companies of all sizes. With program standards focusing in a variety of areas, participating companies will be required to meet qualifications based on a variety of standards including: On-going testing and training, customer communications, record keeping, and environmentally responsible service practices. Upon application, companies will receive the professionally developed tools they need to meet QualityPro Green standards.
